Global Management Challenge is the largest strategy and management competition in the world. It consists in a simulation of a market with eight competing companies. Each group is assigned a company and has to manage it by taking financial, operations and marketing decisions every week. These decisions vary from the price and quantity to be produced of the different products of the company to the money used in advertising or the number of shifts to be done by the workers.
The groups were composed of four members and I was the leader of my group. My tasks involved weekly meeting organization, tasks assignation, and part of the decision making. The team managed to be one of the 8 teams from the 427 initially participant groups to reach the National Final.
