Worked on two main projects focused on robotic control, perception, and hardware development for search and rescue tasks and cognitive personal assistance.
🐾 Project I: Control and Perception of Quadruped Manipulator Robot for Search and Rescue Operations
• Implemented a C++ NMPC Whole-Body controller for the Aliengo robot with the Z1 arm from Unitree.
• Developed perception algorithms using OpenCV with RGB-D cameras.
• Applied and optimized the algorithms for door opening tasks during victim search.
• Performed Gazebo simulations using ROS.
• Validated and tested the algorithms in physical hardware.
🤖 Project II: Design, Manufacturing and Programming of a Social Robot for Cognitive Personal Assistance
• Designed the robot in Autodesk Inventor. 1st Prize in Robot Design Competition.
• Validated and optimized the mechanical design through dynamic simulations.
• Performed 3D printing robot manufacturing and commercial component selection.
• Programmed C++ firmware for communication between Arduino Mega and NVIDIA Jetson TX2.
• Tested and validated the robot.
• Developed integral technical hardware and software documentation.
